Sign Installation
These Firewise signs are posted in visible locations to help first responders quickly identify our community as one that has invested in wildfire preparedness and risk reduction. Firefighting experts recommend clear signage, marked addresses, and accessible water sources because emergency responders are not always familiar with local roads and may be operating in smoky conditions, at night, or during rapidly changing emergencies when visibility is limited.
Our steering committee has purchased six signs and are currently in the process of installing them with the volunteer help of road captains.
